Atlas Copco has a decades-old history of selling compressors to the maritime industry, whether for starting air, working air or marine gasses. Founded in 1962, and part of the Atlas Copco Group since 2005, the acquisition of Ketting Handel marked the beginning of Atlas Copco designing and building a wide range of compressors according to official marine standards. Today the Atlas Copco Marine Center in Belgium develops and produces fully-certified marine solutions, making them a trusted partner for all major ship owners around the globe.
Following the announcement, MPCC can now deliver a wide scope of spares and replacement equipment for Start Air, Control, Instrument and Working air, Bulk and Feed Air Compressors, Inert gas & Nitrogen Systems, Fuel and Cargo Gasses handling and much more.

The announcement comes at a suitably fitting time as we celebrate 35 years in the marine industry. Founded in 1989 by Tony Bray following a 15-year career as a sea-going engineer on Shell tankers, the business is now in the hands of the second generation of the Bray family. Expanding rapidly in 2022 with offices in Singapore, a further distribution centre in the UAE is expected to open in Q1 of 2024.
